Duties of the Clerk:
- Plan, organize and oversee elections in the township.
- Maintain election files, records and voter information.
- Process absentee applications and ballots.
- Maintains custody of all township records.
- Records, maintains, and posts board minutes and notices.
- Keeps township ordinance books and records.
- Maintains general ledger.
- Accounts payable for the township.
- Administers payroll, and all human resources for the township.
- Notary public for the township.
Elections
The Clerk’s office will be open the Saturday before an election from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. for absent voting only.
Permanent Absentee Voter Applications will be mailed approximately 45 days before an election. If you would like to receive a Absentee Voter Application, please contact the Clerk’s office.
Workers Wanted:
The Clerk’s office is looking for Precinct Inspectors. A precinct inspector must be a registered voter of the State. They cannot be a challenger, candidate, member of a candidate’s immediate family, or a member of the local Board of Canvassers. Anyone convicted of a felony or an election crime may not serve.
Training date for the election will be necessary also. Please contact the Clerk’s office for more details.
