Welcome to Elba Township
Elba Township is located in the southwest portion of Lapeer County, Michigan. Established in 1838, this small community of 5235 residents thrives on the peaceful living environment and rich heritage. Elba offers pristine lakes and beautiful rolling farmlands. Elba is a convenient commute to nearly any location, using the I-69 highway, which travels through the center of the Township.
Elba Township Hall is located at the corner of Hadley & Lippincott Roads. The Supervisor, Clerk, Treasurer and Assessor’s offices are here to help you with any questions that you may have.
The township offices are located at 4717 Lippincott Rd., Lapeer, MI 48446, and the phone number is 810-664-2332.
Township Hall Office Hours:
The Treasurer’s Office will be closed on Monday, 10/5. Please leave tax and sewer payments in the drop-box and we will mail you a receipt. We will resume regular office hours on 10/6. Thank You!

The Elba Township Trucks & Treats event is scheduled for Saturday, 10/17 from 12 p.m.- 2 p.m.

TREASURER’S OFFICE- Katie Terry, Treasurer; Jacqueline Wellington, Deputy Treasurer
Summer taxes are mailed out July 1st, and are due September 14th. A 1% interest charge is applicable to any tax not paid by September 15th, followed by an additional 1% interest charge on the first of each month until paid in full.
Winter taxes are mailed out December 1st and are due February 14th. A 3% penalty is applicable to any tax not paid by February 15th.
As of March 1st, any remaining taxes not paid will be transferred to the Lapeer County Treasurer as delinquent.
